Jidian Construction Materials Co., Ltd. served as the primary steel structure supplier for the Hamburg Port Expansion Project in Germany, delivering an 11,500-ton structural steel framework for a new container terminal operations center. The facility features a 52-meter column-free control hall supported by curved roof trusses engineered to withstand North Sea coastal wind loads exceeding 120 km/h. Our team managed the complete lifecycle from design optimization through fabrication and on-site erection, completing the project six weeks ahead of schedule.
The project utilized S355J2W weathering structural steel with hot-dip galvanized coating for 50-year corrosion protection in the marine environment. All 1,740 primary members were fabricated to EN 1090-2 execution class EXC3 tolerances at our facility, with pre-assembly verification conducted before shipping to the Port of Hamburg. The terminal now serves as a benchmark for large-span port building construction across Northern Europe.
