Steel Tower Internals and Anchor Cage Structures for Texas Onshore Wind Farm
Steel Tower Internals and Anchor Cage Structures for Texas Onshore Wind Farm

Jidian Construction Materials Co., Ltd. supplied the structural steel package for a 250MW onshore wind farm in West Texas, USA. The 3,600-ton scope covers tower internal platforms, safety ladder and cable support systems for 58 wind turbine towers, together with foundation anchor cage assemblies engineered for the high-cycle fatigue loads of rotating turbine operation. All components were hot-dip galvanized per ASTM A123 for long-term corrosion protection in the semi-arid prairie environment.
Tower internals were fabricated to AWS D1.1 structural welding code with 100% visual inspection and ultrasonic testing on critical load-bearing welds. Anchor cage ring segments were match-marked and trial-assembled at our facility before containerized shipment to the Port of Houston, enabling direct bolt-up installation at each turbine foundation without field welding. The complete steel package was delivered in phased lots aligned with turbine erection sequencing across 8 months.
