Ground-Mount Steel Racking Structures for Andalusia Solar Farm

Jidian Construction Materials Co., Ltd. manufactured the ground-mount steel racking system for a 180MW photovoltaic solar farm in Andalusia, Spain. The 4,800-ton package includes galvanized C-section purlins, structural support posts and bracing members forming 2,150 tracker rows across 240 hectares of former agricultural land. The racking was engineered for wind uplift per Eurocode EN 1991-1-4 and soil corrosion category C4 per ISO 9223.

All members were roll-formed and pre-punched at our facility for fast bolt-together field assembly, reducing installation labor by 30% versus conventional welded systems. Hot-dip galvanizing per EN ISO 1461 with an 85µm minimum coating provides 30-year corrosion protection in the region's hot, dry climate. Shipments were containerized through the Port of Valencia in 14 phased lots synchronized with the EPC contractor's row-by-row installation schedule.
