Marine-Grade Steel Cruise Terminal with Curved Roof in Xiamen

Jidian Construction Materials Co., Ltd. delivered the marine-grade steel structure for an international cruise port terminal in Xiamen, Fujian. The 7,400-ton steel package features a curved roof system spanning 55 meters over the passenger hall, open-span customs and immigration areas, and marine-grade coating systems tested for salt spray resistance per ISO 9227 for 3,000 hours.
Pre-fabricated at our Xiamen facility adjacent to the port, the steel components were transported via barge for direct on-site erection, minimizing road transport logistics. The terminal building integrates photovoltaic-ready roof framing and rainwater harvesting support structures. The project achieved Green Port certification upon completion, with the steel structure contributing to the building's 42% reduction in embodied carbon compared to conventional concrete construction.
Key Data: 7,400 tons marine-grade steel | 55m curved roof span | ISO 9227 3,000hr salt spray | Green Port certified | 42% embodied carbon reduction
