Modular Steel Canopy for Riyadh High-Speed Railway Station

Jidian Construction Materials Co., Ltd. supplied the modular steel canopy structure for a high-speed railway station expansion in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 9,200-ton steel package features vibration-damped platform connections, fluorocarbon-coated weather-resistant panels rated for extreme desert heat up to 55 degrees Celsius, and modular skylight integration across 380 meters of platform coverage. The canopy system was designed for wind uplift conditions and sandstorm load scenarios.

Our modular approach allowed platform sections to be pre-assembled in 24-meter modules at our facility, then lifted into place during nightly track possession windows of just 4 hours. This minimized disruption to existing rail services during the expansion. All structural connections utilize slip-critical high-strength bolts with vibration monitoring sensors embedded at key joints, and the fluorocarbon coating system provides 25-year maintenance-free performance in the aggressive desert environment.

Key Data: 9,200 tons modular steel | 380m platform coverage | 24m pre-assembled modules | 4-hour nightly possession windows | 55C heat rated | Vibration sensor monitoring
