Jidian Construction Materials Co., Ltd. engineered the steel roof structure for a national ice sports training arena in Northeast China, featuring a 70-meter clear-span steel roof with 4,300 tons of curved steel trusses. The column-free span creates an unobstructed viewing experience for over 10,000 spectators while supporting a 1,200-ton HVAC and ice-making equipment load suspended from the primary trusses.

The project utilized Q345C low-temperature steel rated for service temperatures down to -40°C, with Charpy V-notch impact testing conducted on all primary welded members. Our team performed advanced structural analysis including ice load accumulation modeling and thermal contraction analysis for the extreme temperature environment. The arena hosted national winter sports championships within 8 months of structural completion.
